I wrote a biography, the book is about my grandfather's life. Miraculously, he survived both world wars. In Saxony, he was head of counterintelligence in the 1920s. He had contact with the Saxon royal family, and from 1934 with the resistance. His counterintelligence work in the Second World War took him all over Europe. He had close contact with the people who carried out the assassination attempt on Hitler on July 20th, 1944. After the end of the Second World War, he supported the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) in Dresden.
